Ship Role - High Factorum
RANK TWO
High Factorum
The High Factorum is the maestro of the mechanisms of trade: negotiations, compacts, endless records, bribes, threats and the filling and emptying of great holds. Maintaining the crew at strength and obtaining needed supplies for the continuing operation of the void ships is also the High Factorums concern. This is a realm in which corruption and honour walk hand in hand, and the path taken by Thrones is always twisted to private ends. The High Factorum has pledged to bring profit to the Lord Captains venture, and will do whatever is necessary to keep both dock scum and haughty highbound merchants in line.
Careers: Seneshal or Missionary
Subordinates: Quartermasters, skilled negotiators and factors, officers of the common great-hold crew.
Required skills:
Barter: For less clear-cut trading operations, such as bolstering the crew through press-gangs or "recruiting" convicts from imperial prisons.
Commerce: Vital to succeed in matters of commerce and negotiation.
Evaluate: Every trader lies, either to himself or to others. Establishing a true worth in any potential trade is off great importance.
Benefits
Once per game session, the High Factorum may take up to 300 achievements points gathered towards the completion of one endevour and apply them to the completion of another.

Andrea Chan-Gauthier - High Factorum
Andrea Chan-Gauthier's history is mostly classified but she is well regarded within house Atreides. Never having quite got used to the protocol aboard a void-ship or those of formal matters she does the best she can when not buried in legal documentation. The main thing one would say about Andrea Chan-Gauthier is that her face is heavily modified by cosmetics and augments, something happened in her past and it takes constant upgrading and repairing of these augments to keep her face... together.

Other Officers
Lieutenant Nathin Travic - Travic commands the cargo hold and its crew. He comes from similar work on dock stations like Port Wander, and is a man well-used to relating to others. He works efficiently when he has to, but is known to be a little lax with regulations. He doesn't care for protocol. Travic appears to be in his middle age, and has a weathered and veined face from years of cheap-Amasec abuse. He often works with the Chief Seneschal when they wish to keep an eye on the cargo. Travic also controls access to food supplies on the vessel.
