Ship Role - Lord Captain
Rank ONE
Lord-Captain
A void-ship is a mighty fortress, its Captain upon the command throne the feudal lord who accepts pledges of allegiance and fealty from his advisor's, the commoner crew, and their elected spokesmen. The Lord-Captain is the ultimate decision-maker on matters of strategy, void-law, and negotiation, responsible for the lives and souls of all who pledge under his banner. The fate of thousands hangs upon his decisions, though a wise Lord-Captain takes council with his advisers and bridge crew, and listens well to their wisdom before giving orders.
Careers: Rogue Trader
Examples of immediate subordinates: Personal guard Company, emissaries of Imperial powers, subordinates officers of the ship.
Skills required:
Command: To impose the Lord-Captains will upon ship manoeuvres, lead boarding actions, or shame and break mutinous crew.
Charm: To restore flagging moral during long voyages far from Imperial stars.
Intimidate: It is sometimes necessary to compel the loyalty of recalcitrant servants.
Scholastic Lore (Tactica Imperialis): The Lord-Captain must lead decisively in matters of strategy and tactics
Benefits:
The Lord-Captain gains a +10 bonus to the 'HOLD FAST' Extended action. If he possesses the Exceptional Leader ability he may grant to anyone aboard his ship once per strategic round as a free action, ignoring the normal restrictions on who can benefit from this ability.

Service Staff
LeVatch - Mihail's personal butler. Usually found in the Lord-Captain's mansion, he is now aboard the Forward unto Dawn and is sometimes used to run errands on the ship. Though technically under the Head Steward, LeVatch is only accustomed to receiving orders from the Rogue Trader. Commands from other crew members will most likely be rebutted with, 'yes, sir, just as soon as I have tended to the Lord-Captain's wishes' - i.e. never. Old, but in good health, LeVatch is professional but distant.
Kruger (Duty Officer) - Raised by Mihail Atreides himself, Kruger is seem somewhat as a hero amongst the crew of the Forward unto Dawn, inciting a mutiny at the unfair treatment of some of the lower deck officers upon the crew and holding a Tech-Presit hostage. Somehow this individual was not killed and instead raised to a higher station much to the anger of the Adeptus Mechanicus aboard the vessel. Kruger is usually found on the bridge following the Lord-Captain around.
