Ship Role - Ship's Confessor
RANK FOUR
Ship's Confessor
The Ship's Confessor is the uppermost hierarch of shrines and clerics aboard the vessel, responsible for their scriptural purity and by extension the spiritual well-being of all aboard. The God-Emperor protects the righteous who abide by the holy laws of Ministorum and Imperium, and it is His will that keeps the warp at bay and guides weapons to strike true against foul xenos. The Ship's Confessor pledges to uphold the faith and courage of the crew against all adversities and so make the void-ship a true cathedralof the Imperial Creed, echoing with the holy and blessed in the God-Emperor's sight.
Careers: Explorator, Missionary, Explorator or Seneshal.
Immediate subordinates: Lesser Clerics and Confessors of the vessel's shrines, emissaries of major Ministorum cults in attendance, an unruly mob of zealots, penitents and pilgrims.
Required skills:
Scholastic Lore (Imprerial Creed): To ensure purity of faith and rightful ritual.
Common Lore (Ecclesiarchy, Imperial Creed): to conduct worship in a way fitting to the inhabitants of the faithful, such that they will be fulfilled and blessed in soul and mind.
Charm, Intimidate: To soothe the dolorous and rain hellfire upon the faithless, in both cases to bring straying souls back to the path of righteous worship and steadfast toil.
Benefits
The ship's Confessor gains a +10 bonus to the Put your backs into it! Extended Action.

Re: Ship Role - Ship's Confessor
Brother Detronimus - The head of the Temple-Shrine on board the Forward unto Dawn. Detronimus works with missionary zeal and unshakeable faith in the God-Emperor. He is widely considered utterly fearless, yet he remains approachable by almost anyone on the vessel. Detronimus began his service as a missionary on remote worlds, spreading the word of the Emperor's truth. He has a knack for languages, and can easily adopt his demeanour for a given audience. He appears to be in his late middle-age. Though not tall, he has an imposing physique, and is strongly built. Rumours persist that Detronimus has little respect for the Adeptus Mechanicus; some even suggest he believes the Machine Cult itself to be orthodox heresy. Decades ago, he lost his left hand - some theorise it was torn from him by the jaw of a daemon - and he has deliberately not sought mechanical augmentation to compensate.

Subordinates
Brother Clabo – one of Detronimus’s most experienced subordinates. Clabo is probably not far from being assigned to lead a group of missionaries himself. He has the look of someone who has led an indulgent lifestyle, especially gastronomically, however, Clabo is astute, disciplined, and unnervingly brave.
Scipio – an acolyte of the ecclesiarchy, noted for fanaticism. Known for being hostile towards women.
Cassius - an acolyte of the ecclesiarchy, noted for fanaticism.
